They sleep all day and are up at night! These ones tend to be very nippy if you wake them up. They also have to be alone. They do not like to share a cage with any other hamster or death can occur. However, they are very sweet and friendly once they up at their own time. These hamsters are also known as teddy bear hamsters. Usually they have long hair. They come in a variety of colors. It is so cute when they stand up on their two legs (that means they are curious)

It is very important they get proper exercise. Mine have a tread mill in the cage but I have a ball that give them free rage around my home. About 30 minutes in the ball is enough. What I do is let them back into their cages and get a drink and they usually let me know when they wanna walk around my home again in their ball.

I find the best food for them is in a pet store for hamsters. They have basically everything they need. They also love hamster treats that can be found there as well. Other food you can feed them are carrots, corn,sunflower seeds, apple,a little bit of toasted bread. Do not feed them any lettuce cause it can caught in their pouches and possibly cause death.

They love to make a nest. I tend to buy the cotton from petco (I know many people do not approve of that.) but, i find it to be just fine for mine and they love it! Always use pine bedding for the floor of their cage.
